We have never sold our shares in a deal. If you’re communicating with a sponsor who has, you better ask them why. This can signal that they are inexperienced or lack the commitment it takes to see a deal through. Afterall, if your sponsor has skin in the game, not only sweat equity as well as financial resources, then their interests are aligned with your own. If they decide to pull their shares out impulsively, it can be particularly worrisome as your shares would still be in the deal; and what does that say to their confidence in the deals they implement?
